Bakes worth crossing the city for
Devwise Bakehouse is a small-batch bakery on Jalan Telawi. We whip real butter, fold in Sarawak pandan and Perak gula melaka, and frost every cupcake by hand — nothing leaves the kitchen unless we would serve it to our own families.
A weekend stall that refused to stay small
We started in 2019 with a folding table at a Bangsar weekend market and forty pandan-gula melaka cupcakes that sold out before ten. Six years on, the same three friends run a proper bakehouse two streets away — with the same rule we had at that stall: bake in small batches, use real ingredients, and never ice a cake we would not eat ourselves.
Our butter is churned dairy butter, our chocolate is single-origin couverture, and our pandan is juiced in-house every morning. No premixes, no shortening, no shortcuts.

We order the office birthday box every month. It arrives cold, on time, and the salted caramel cupcakes are gone within minutes. Zero complaints in a year.
Our wedding cake survived an outdoor ceremony in March heat and still looked flawless at midnight. That alone deserves five stars — the taste earned the rest.
Questions we hear at the counter
How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
For custom celebration cakes we ask for at least five working days. Wedding cakes and large event orders are best booked three to four weeks ahead so we can schedule a tasting.
Do you deliver across Kuala Lumpur?
Yes — daily, in a chilled vehicle, anywhere in the Klang Valley. Fees start from RM15 for Bangsar and nearby suburbs; we confirm the exact amount when you order.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary needs?
We bake eggless, gluten-conscious and plant-based options on request. Because our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, wheat and eggs, we cannot promise zero traces.
Are your bakes halal?
Every ingredient we use is halal-certified and we never use alcohol or gelatine. Certification for the premises itself is currently in progress.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Tastings run Tuesday to Friday at the Bangsar studio. A box of six flavours costs RM48 and is fully redeemable against a confirmed wedding or event order.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, FPX, major cards and e-wallets including Touch 'n Go and GrabPay. Custom orders are confirmed with a 50% deposit.
